Welcome To The Nunbrums Multiplier

This a Guide to using The Nunbrums Multiplier M2 on Apple IOS Devices:

A Personal Message from the Nunbrums Leader. “Nuncium Unum” (Messenger One):
"On behalf of all the Nunbrums, we very much hope that you will enjoy this multiplication programme and we all hope that it will greatly improve your numeracy and your other mathematical skills.

Don’t forget the Nunbrums Motto , if we Nunbrums are able to do it, then you should be able to do it too."

The Nunbrums are here to help:

Rubrum Nuncios The Nunbrums Multiplier is a fun way to learn and re-enforce your knowledge of multiplication tables.   Even though we all rely on calculators nowadays, it is still important to know the relationships between numbers when they are multiplied.   This can help with mental agility when it comes to calculating numbers in your head.

Rubrum Nuncios The Nunbrums Multiplier app is suitable for all ages from YR 3 Key Stage 2 of the UK National Curriculum (around age 7) and is suitable for adults too.

Rubrum Nuncios The Nunbrums Multiplier feels like a game but it is designed to focus the user on the problems laid out by the Nunbrums and encourages cooperation with them.

Rubrum Nuncios The Nunbrums Multiplier is very flexible as it allows user to practice on specific tables and specific table ranges.

Rubrum Nuncios The Nunbrums Multiplier allows the user to solve either the product or one of the factors if preferred but will also randomise this facility.

Rubrum Nuncios The Nunbrums Multiplier can also randomise the presentation order of the table elements to make them more challenging to solve.

Rubrum Nuncios The Nunbrums Multiplier should be regarded as a community of very cooperative little helpers that are here to help you learn and re-enforce your knowledge, in a fun and relaxing way.

Rubrum Nuncios The Nunbrums Multiplier provides a screen environment in which learning is fun but it also exists as a full virtual 3D environment with roving cameras.

We never argue among ourselves

The Nunbrums Multiplier for Apple IOS is currently in development:

How to use The Nunbrums Multiplier

Rubrum Nuncios
Answer each table element as it is presented by the Nunbrums by dragging the correct numerals from the row at the top of screen to the answer area defined by the white corners.

Rubrum Nuncios
If you are not sure whether you have answered the element correctly, you can wait for one of the Nunbrums to stand on or near to the cross circle to signal an incorrect answer or the tick circle to signal a correct answer.

Rubrum Nuncios
When you think you have the right answer then click the “Go” button.

Rubrum Nuncios
If you leave any unused numerals around then do not worry, the Nunbrums will tidy up after you.

Choosing the Tables and Range.
You can select the number of tables on which you would like to be tested and the range of each.
In the example below the Nunbrums will test table 3 (Start Table) through to table 6 (End Table) with a range of 2 (Range Start) through to 7 (Range End).

Start Table End Table
3 * 2 = 4 * 2 =     5 * 2 =     6 * 2 =     Range Start
3 * 3 = 4 * 3 = 5 * 3 = 6 * 3 =
3 * 4 = 4 * 4 = 5 * 4 = 6 * 4 =
3 * 5 = 4 * 5 = 5 * 5 = 6 * 5 =
3 * 6 = 4 * 6 = 5 * 6 = 6 * 6 =
3 * 7 = 4 * 7 = 5 * 7 = 6 * 7 = Range End

The Nunbrums Multiplier M2 allows tables 2 through to 20 with a range of between 2 and 20.

Choosing the Modes.
Activating the “Random tables” button randomizes the order in which the table elements are presented and this can make the solving of the elements harder than if they are in the right order.

You can also choose which part of the table element you wish to solve.
In the example below you are required to solve the first factor:-
[   ] * 3 = 36

In the next example below you are required to solve the second factor:-
12 * [   ] = 36

In the next example below you are required to solve the product:-
12 * 3 = [   ]

You can also choose to randomize which part of the table element is to be solved.
